Gowrie - Linda Persinger, 67, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2008, after a long illness at her home, the Gowrie Care Center; living here for the past 15 years. Graveside services were held Friday, March 14, 2008 at the Gowrie Township Cemetery in Gowrie. She was born June 28th, 1941 in Arkansas. She had lost her parents at a young age and was adopted by a family who had several siblings. She later married and moved to Texas and gave birth to her only daughter. After some time, she returned to Arkansas, then moved to Iowa. In 1993 Linda came to the Gowrie Care Center. In the past 15 years, the Care Center staff took Linda under their wings, adopting a family atmosphere and relationships with Linda. She was loved and cared for by many and all will miss her immensely; many fond memories will be kept in our hearts. |
