Lake
City – Jan Otto, 67, died Saturday, July 24, 2010 in Kirksville,
Missouri surrounded by family. Mass of the Christian Burial was held
Friday, July 30 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lake
City. Celebrant was Father Lynn Bruch and burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Auburn.
Jan was born on May 14, 1943 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in
Carroll to parents Conrad and Marge (Weiderin)
Stork. She graduated with the Class of
1961 of St. Bernard’s Catholic High
School in Breda. On February
17, 1962 she married Gary Otto at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Auburn. They farmed south of Lake
City. Jan worked at St. Anthony’s Hospital in
Carroll, at Ben Franklin Store, Shady Oaks Care Center, Schleisman
Chiropractic Clinic all of Lake City and Al’s Corner in Breda.
Survivors include: son Dan Otto of Lake
City; daughters Lori (Scott) Pankey of Lytton and Lisa (Fernando) Rivera of Canby, Oregon; and 8
grandchildren, Ben Bachman, Logan, and Broderek Pankey, Mariah, Briana and
Lucas Otto, and Alyssa and Andrew Rivera; mother, Marge (Ed) Reiling of Carroll; brothers, Dale and Dean Stork both of
Carroll, Gary Stork of Omaha and Douglas Stork of Fort Ludlow, Washington;
brother-in-law Bill Rhode of Kirksville, Missouri and several nieces and
nephews. Ahe was preceded in death by her husband
Gary in 2003; father, Conrad; son, Joseph; several brothers; and one sister.
