Lake City – Marilyn Karn,
88, died Saturday, July 17, 2010 at Stewart Memorial Hospital in Lake City.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 20 at Woodlawn Christian
Church in Lake City with Rev. Carla Hillyer officiating and burial was in the Lake City Cemetery.
Marilyn Lee Karn was born July
7, 1922 at
Lake
City, Iowa to George and Lottie
(McLain) Roberts. On November 30, 1939 she was married to Donald Karn
at the Lake City Christian Church in Lake City.
Marilyn was a member of the Merry Wife’s Bridge Club, Duplicate Bridge
Club, PEO, and Woodlawn Christian Church in Lake City.
Marilyn is survived by her sons, Larry (Karen) Karn of Coralville, IA, Neal (Chris) Karn
of O’Fallon, MO, Todd (Lorri) Karn
of Phoenix, AZ; daughters, Judy Miller of Ruskin, FL, Jean (Gary) Fahan and Linda Lathrum, both
of Lake City; and 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents;
and brothers, Neil and Terry Roberts.
