Alfred “Lee” Johnson, 67, died Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Lanesboro,
Iowa. A memorial service was held Saturday, January 2, 2010 at Lampe
Funeral Home in Lake City.
Lee was born December
7, 1942 at Lake City, Iowa
to Everett and Irene (Gatton) Johnson. He graduated from Lake
City High School
with the class of 1961. He was married
to Phyllis Kinyon in 1963. The couple later divorced. In 1977, he was married to Marilyn Johnson
in Danville, KY.
Lee was the foreman in the instrument repair department of
West Music Co. in Coralville, IA. After moving to CO, he drove gravel trucks
for Flatiron Materials Co., and owned and managed rental properties, and a
snow removal business.
He enjoyed dancing, hunting, fishing, boating, 4-wheeling,
and playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents; brothers,
Donald, Wilbur, and Larry; and sisters, Linda Arredondo and Donna Winker.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Johnson of Loveland,
CO; daughters, Tamara (Micheal) Greene, and Robin (Sean) Walker; son, Ben
Johnson and special friend Raceine Tippman; 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren;
sisters, Nancy (Roger) Bowman and Norma Bowman and special friend, Jeff
Garner.
