Lohrville – Donald Miller, 81, passed away
Saturday, January 26, 2008 at his home surrounded by family. Friends and
family gathered for a memorial service Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at the
Lampe Funeral Home in Lake City. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery in Lohrville. Donald is survived by his wife, Norma of Lohrville, son, Kenneth (Bobbie) of Lake City, daughters,
Gayla (Larry) Hintz of Lawrenceville, GA, Sharon (David)
Otis of Ogden, IA, and Melanie (Robert) Wahl of Jefferson, IA, 17
grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, brother, Lowell Miller of Fort Walton
Beach, FL and sister, Bonnie Streeter
of Carroll, IA. He was preceded in
death by his parents, John & Lillian Miller, brothers, Wilbur (Bus) and
Paul Miller, and infant children, Michael Wayne and Donna Jean. Donald Wayne Miller was born March 27, 1926 in Estherville,
Iowa to parents John and Lillian (Borland) Miller. On April 5, 1947, he was married to Norma
Jean Carroll in Rockwell City, Iowa.
He worked as a welder and machinist until 1989, and enjoyed gardening after
retirement.
