Evelyn McCaulley,
80, of Lake City, died Monday, April 21, 2008 at Sunny Knoll Care Center in
Rockwell City. Funeral service was
held Thursday, April 24, 2008 at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Lake City with
Pastor Erland Asmus
officiating. Burial was in the Lake
City Cemetery. Evelyn is survived by her
four daughters, Barbara (Jim) Bartick of Pensacola,
Florida, Kathleen (Ron) Johnson of Rockwell City, Teri (Jeff) McGuire of Farnhamville, and Jane (Gerri) McCurdy of Rockwell City,
grandchildren, Todd Richardson, Tracey Toms, Mike Roller, Michelle Johnson,
Stephanie Macke, Jeni Morrow, John Hanks, Kasey
McCurdy, and Kory McCurdy, brother, Bill (Carmen) Picht
of Lake City, and sisters, Marian Grimes of Winter Haven, Florida, and Vivian
Doty of Fountain Valley, California.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Bessie Picht, husband, Clancy McCaulley,
son-in-law, Larry Richardson, brothers-in-law, KC Grimes, Robert Doty,
granddaughter, Kelly McCurdy, and great-granddaughter, Alyssa Toms. Evelyn Jane Picht was born January 15, 1928 in Ames, Iowa to parents
Jess and Bessie Picht. She moved to Lake City with her family in
1930. She was baptized in 1938, and
confirmed April 6, 1941 at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Lake City. She received her education in Lake City and
graduated from Lake City High School in 1946.
Evelyn was united in marriage to Clancy McCaulley
on September 1, 1946. She worked at
Stewart Memorial Hospital, Swanson Law Office, General Electric, and Lampe
Funeral Home. She was a life-long
member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Lake City. Evelyn enjoyed stitchery,
reading and music. She left her family
her strong faith and gentle spirit to cherish. |
