Lake City – Aaron Carlson, 84, died Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Sunny Knoll Care Center in Rockwell City. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Lampe Funeral Home in Lake City with Pastor Roy Karlen officiating and burial was in the Lake City Cemetery.
Aaron Carlson was born on November 20, 1932 in Lake City, Iowa to Arthur and Leah (Faulkerson) Carlson. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1953-1954. On February 27, 1955 Aaron married Barbara Farley in Lake City. Aaron worked as a farmer in the Lytton and Lake City areas his entire life. He was a member of Woodlawn Christian Church, the Calhoun County Fair Board, Elevator Board and was a past 4-H leader.
Aaron is survived by his wife Barb of Lake City, sons Mike (Sara) of Lytton, Mark (Linda) of Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Matt (Jaci) of Lake City, 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and sister-in-law Doris Carlson of Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
