Lake City—Susan Belle (Subbert) Gosch, 83, formerly of Lanesboro, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Shady Oaks Care Center, Lake City. Funeral Services were held on Wednesday May 17, 2017 at Lampe Funeral Home in Lake City with burial in Lake Creek Cemetery, Rockwell City.
Susan Belle (Subbert) Gosch was born on March 9, 1934 in Lake City, Iowa to Rudolph and Helen (Davis) Subbert. She attended Lanesboro schools. On July 3, 1950 she married Roger Gosch in Jackson, MN. Roger and Susan farmed near Rockwell City from 1950 until 2011 where they raised their 5 children. Susan worked as a housewife and Tupperware & Avon agent until her retirement in 1999. She and Roger vacationed in Mesa, AZ during the winter months for over 30 years. She loved her family, flowers and feeding the birds. Susan was a member of the Lanesboro Methodist Church.
Susan is survived by her children Pam Anderson of Reinbeck, Steve (Jeanne) Gosch of Lanesboro, Deb Wuebker (Delwin Krause) of Glidden, Dave (Pat) Gosch of Hayfield, MN, and Jana (Jay) Maguire of Lake City; 15 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; sister Jeannie (Gordy) Toyne of Lanesboro; brothers Romayne (Oletta) Subbert of North Platte, NE and Dick (Janet) Subbert of Lanesboro; brother-in-law Clem (Carmen) Gosch of Downey, CA; sister-in-law Janet Gosh of Fairfield Bay, AR; step-brothers-in-law Wilbert (Dorothy) Janssen of Pomeroy and Martin (Mary) Janssen of Manson; several nieces, nephews and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Roger in 2011, infant daughter Cynthia Ann and great-grandson Austin Gosch.
